The Philippine Consulate General in Milan, represented by Consul Mersole Mellejor, administered the oathtaking ceremony of the new set of officers of the Filipino Community Romagna Chapter (FCRC) headed by its president Divina Bulseco, in Rimini, Italy on 26 November 2017.
The event, held at Via della Gazella 48, was attended by leaders and representatives of FCRC chapters near the Rimini area. It was preceded by a celebration of the holy mass and it also served as the early Christmas party of FCRC.
Consul Mellejor conveyed the message of Consul General Marichu Mauro congratulating the newly-elected officers at the same time thanking the preceding officials for successfully guiding the organization during their tenure. He cited that FCRC has set itself as an example in promoting unity and harmony among members of the Filipino community by setting up with an umbrella group that would represent various FCRC chapters. FCRC is one of the prominent Filipino community organizations in Northern Italy noted for its support to Milan PCG in its efforts to reach out to Filipinos in the area.
Consul Mellejor also took the opportunity to encourage the members of the Filipino community to register for overseas voting for the national elections in 2019.
Milan PCG endeavours to participate in events organized by Filcom organizations in recognition of their support and also of their efforts to assist Filipinos in Milan and Northern Italy.
