The Philippine Consulate General in Milan (Milan PCG) welcomed Supreme Court Associate Justice Teresita Leonardo-De Castro who arrived in Milan on 1 November 2017. Associate Justice Leonardo-De Castro is transiting Milan on her way to The Vatican where she is a resource speaker at the Summit of Women Judges and Prosecutors on Human Trafficking and Organized Crime, organized by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.
The Associate Justice visited the Consulate premises to meet relevant officials in connection with a current project that she is working in collaboration with the Department of Justice. During the meeting, Associate Justice Leonardo-De Castro was comprehensively briefed on the services of Milan PCG as well as Assistance to Nationals (ATN) cases in its jurisdiction. The Philippine official appreciated the briefing and expressed her desire to explore similar opportunities in other Philippine Embassies and Consulates with thousands of overseas Filipinos under their jurisdiction.
