Modena, 13 March 2017 – The Philippine Consulate General in Milan, through the program of POLO and OWWA, successfully conducted another IT Training Program, this time in Modena. This batch of twenty graduates, organized in cooperation with the La Comunita Filippina di Modena (COFILMO), completed the month-long course on Basic Computer Operations.
A simple closing ceremony was graced by Honorable Consul General Marichu Mauro who continue to encourage the participants to hone their skills for personal development and better work opportunities in the future. OIC POLO and Welfare Officer Jocelyn Hapal commended the batch and invited them to participate in the advance training on computer hardware servicing which can be certified by TESDA as a national skills competency.
On the same day, an Enterprise Development Training was conducted by OWWA under the Enterprise Development and Loan Program, including a full orientation on the business loan facility. As part of the OFW Reintegration Program, this training is aimed at providing information on business opportunities and capital formation for the OWWA member OFWs who are planning to return to the country. More than eighty participants attended this training seminar.
