The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducted the first AGAD Core Group meeting on 17 February 2017 that was attended by more than 30 Filipino community leaders from various organizations in Milan and Northern Italy.
Consul Conrado Demdem, Jr., in his opening remarks, stated that the meeting was intended to facilitate the identification of relevant activities and projects that would help the Philippine government’s campaign against illegal drugs. These projects would be fully “owned” by the concerned Filipino organizations to ensure their implementation.
During the workshop, the attendees were divided into three focus groups, namely:
Each group was provided with ample time to discuss among its members, and present to the body their project proposals that could be implemented within a given timeframe. Below are some of the more significant proposals introduced:
The Consulate requested the three groups to submit at the earliest their respective Action Plans prior to their implementation.
