The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducts consular mission to Padova in Veneto Region on 17-18 June 2017.
The consular team is joined by leaders of Padova-based Filipino organization Associazione Donne Filippine during the outreach activity.
The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducted a two-day consular mission to Padova in Veneto Region on 17-18 June 2017. Leading and supervising the consular mission was Consul Conrado Demdem, Jr. More than 200 overseas Filipinos from Padova and nearby areas availed themselves of consular services, including passport renewal and notarial. Partner agency OWWA joined the outreach to extend labor-related services.
During the outreach, Consul Demdem met with Filipino community leader Ms. Cecile Silva of Associazione Donne Filippine to discuss the concerns of Filipinos in Padova. The consular team also extended assistance to Filipino national, Mr. Allan F. Delos Reyes, who needed to be repatriated to the Philippines for health reasons.
There are more than 3,000 Filipinos in Padova and most of them work in households and factories. END
