The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducted a consular outreach mission in the province of Udine in the Fruili-Venezia-Giulia region of Italy.
A total of 151 services were rendered to Filipinos living in Udine and the surrounding areas. Consul General Marichu Mauro administered the oath to the officers of Samahang Filipino sa Udine and met with the Filipino community leaders in the region. Various consular concerns and issues were addressed during the meeting. Consul General Mauro also briefed the FilCom leaders of the ongoing projects and programs of the Consulate and invited them to participate in these activities.
Udine is at the centre of the Region of Friuli-Venezia-Guilia not far from Austria and Slovenia, practically at the centre of Europe. It is approximately 382 kilometers away from Milan.
There are an estimated 2,500 Filipinos living in Udine and the nearby towns of Cividale, Gorizia, and Aquileia. END
